The hotel is located in a very peaceful, tranquil & relaxing surroundings & not far from the main resturants & beaches. The gardens are all maintained well & pretty colourful flowers in bloom on the trees make this location an ideal spot for those seeking tranquility. The pool was wonderfully big & warm. Prices at the snack bar were quite reasonable & good value for money. Breakfast on morning is as described: cereals, bread with variety of choices of jams. There were sliced cheese & ham, sliced tomato, cakes, boiled eggs, choice of cold diluted juices & hot drinks of tea/coffee or peppermint tea/hot chocolate, fresh fruit & yoghurt with honey. It was a buffet so you can help yourself. The accommodation was lovely especially when you got airconditioning in the hot season which was essesential. A large wardrobe to accomodate all your clothes & plenty of coat hangers. Had free hairdryers & a dressing table which was useful. The showers were nice & hot. Staff at the hotel were helpful & friendly. They do special requests in advance, we had one for our anniversary. It was wonderfully thought out & presented well. This hotel is the best we have ever stayed in because of the location, gardens, pool, views & natural beauty. It is nice & peaceful. Kos is lovely & flat. We hired bicycles to explore the surrounding areas at a nice price. We hired bikes from a company which the hotel staff recommend & had a good deal. We paid 20 euros each for 7days. We cycled to Kos Town & to the beaches. Take some cycling shorts if you are planning a long ride to Kos Town (12km) to prevent saddle soreness. We went to Zia mountain to see the sunset (a must if you want a romantic scene to watch sunset & see stunning views of Tigaki & Kos). Went on an excursion to Turkey Bodrum by the hydrofoil (dont 4get passports for this trip). We recommend taking the Hydrofoil takes only 20mins. The other boats take longer, over an hour to get there. Tigaki is a lovely spot for romantic days/evenings watching the sunsets, relaxation by the pool/beaches within quiet surroundings. . Nightlife is not too quiet & not too noisey. There are not many Brits who stay at the Tigaki Star. This CAN actually be a bonus if you want peace & quiet ;-D lol Most people who stay there SEEM to be Germans & they are rather quiet & keep themselves to themselves, not very chatty but like I say, if you want peace & quiet then this is perfect :-) Overall this was an excellent holiday & I would recommend the hotel and the resort which is pretty much unspoilt. By the way, for anyone who is interested, there is a large naturist beach nearby for those of you who are into that ;-)

Returned July 2008 & looking to return next year. The Hotel is in a lovely peaceful, tranquil & picturesque setting. Lovely gardens & the pool is one of the best I have seen. It is big enough to do length swimming & warm. The accommodation had Air Con, fridge, shower(which had warm water too), double bed, dressing table, hairdryer, table & a big wardrobe. We had a balcony which had lovely views of the sunset in evening. The breakfast on morning was basic. Had lovely fresh melon, cereals, sandwiches, hot & cold drinks, boiled eggs & cake. The hotel is more of a German & English culture for those seeking to relax in peaceful surroundings. The location of hotel wasn't far at all for resturants on the main street & the beach. We hired a bicycle for a wk & enjoyed cycling to Kos Town, Salt Lake & the beaches. Some of hire bikes have a basket so you can place your beach things & water in it. Tingaki is a lovely peaceful resort for those seeking relaxation & romantic getaways. Public transport to Kos Town is 1.80 euros each way. Went on 2 exersions - Zia Mountain to watch sunset (fabulous, a must for fabulous views & sunsets). Went to Turkey Bodrum on Hydrofoil on market day (Tues) enjoyed a walk round shops & cafes etc. We are planning to return back. More to discover of this wonderful Island. Could have stayed longer.

Stayed here with friends for 2 weeks in 2007, going back in 2008. Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean, good friendly service from all staff, especially at the poolside bar. Plenty of food and choice at the breakfast table. Beautifully maintained grounds and breathtaking views wherever you're situated. A short walk from the excellent beach, though it was difficult to drag ourselves away from the huge warm pool. Would quite happily spend all our holidays at the Tigaki Star.

Wow, simply the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. To say its value for money is an understatement but more than all that, its such a friendly place! I will keep going here for my holidays, the food at Tony's snack bar, cooked by his amazing ma is simply wonderful, the fhotel is spotless and in such a pretty place. Its safe andquiet but with some cool bard if you want a bit of a laugh and a dance. But most importantly, make friends with the Greeks, they will really make your holiday special and I bet you will go back. I am ... :-) x

Well the first thing i notice at the hotel was sure the pretty big pool they have. Generaly it was a quite hotel with a beautiful garden but i was amazed with the hospitality of the hosts. Our room was cleaned day by day and also we have tv fridge and air condition. The better comes last, all that in very logical price.I like the hotel very much and lived there 2 times. Sure if you go there you should meet antonio at snack bar and the beautiful argyro at the reception.
